Repairing the heart at the cellular level

More than two decades of regenerative-medicine science — from molecular biologics to whole-organ bioengineering — anchored by the foundational patents of Dr. Doris Taylor.

Lami-Pro™ · mechanism of action

Designed to reverse HFpEF — not manage it

Lami-Pro™ is a patent-pending biologic, delivered by transendocardial injection into targeted regions of the heart in HFpEF (heart failure with preserved ejection fraction). It attacks the disease through complementary mechanisms.

Cardiomyocyte modulation

Lowers cardiomyocyte stiffness, increases cardiomyocyte compliance, improving diastolic relaxation.

Anti-inflammatory

Shifts macrophages from pro-inflammatory M1 to reparative M2 phenotype.

Anti-fibrotic

Deactivates myofibroblasts and reduces collagen deposition and MMP activity.

Culmination

  • ↓ Cardiac stiffness
  • ↓ Fibrosis
  • ↓ Inflammation
  • ↑ Myocyte relaxation
  • ↑ Repair

Mechanistic activity demonstrated in preclinical human-tissue studies: human iPSC cardiomyocytes, ex vivo studies, and human failing heart-muscle samples. Provisional patent filed and converted in the U.S. and Europe.

Ventri-Pro™ · mechanism of action

A bioengineered patch designed to slow heart-failure progression

Ventri-Pro™ is a bioengineered cardiac-derived patch for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), built on the same extracellular-matrix science as the rest of the platform. Applied to the failing ventricle in dilated heart failure, it is designed to mechanically stabilize the chamber and slow the remodeling that drives progressive dilation.

The bioactive scaffold is designed to promote vascularization and support a pro-reparative micro-environment — recruiting host cells and supporting regeneration before damage becomes irreversible. With demonstrated activity in preclinical models, it is being developed as a scalable, near-term candidate for the more than 500,000 patients who develop dilated heart failure each year.

Your-Heart process: decellularization to recellularization to patient-specific heart
The platform · Your-Heart™

From a "ghost heart" to a personalized organ

The cornerstone of Organamet's platform is perfusion decellularization — a technique Dr. Taylor pioneered that gently washes the cells out of a mammalian heart to leave a pristine extracellular-matrix scaffold, or "ghost heart."

That universal scaffold is then re-seeded with cells derived from a patient's own blood — induced pluripotent stem cells that can become any cell type in the body that is needed. The result is a bioengineered, patient-specific heart that the recipient's immune system recognizes as its own: no rejection, no lifelong immunosuppression, and no waiting for a donor.

The same decellularization and ECM-bioengineering science underpins Ventri-Pro™ and informs the bioactive matrix chemistry behind Lami-Pro™ — one platform, three products.
